What Clients Say About Me

Interview preparation services:

Hey Sherry!

I just wanted to say thank you again for all of the help you gave me. I feel ten million times more prepared, and feel ready for whatever curve ball they might throw at me 🙂 I can not tell you how immensely you helped me.  I will email you immediately after my interview on Tuesday to let you know how it goes!
Thank you again, so, so much!!!!
I feel like I did really well with 2 out of the 3 interviews, and the 3rd one wasn’t bad, I just wasn’t as on it as the other ones. Even if I don’t get in, I’m really proud of how I handled myself 🙂
Thank you so much for getting me to this point. They asked all the questions we had prepared for, and I was ready because of the help you gave me 🙂 And for the questions we hadn’t prepared for, I was better able to answer based on what we had practiced.

Talk to student writing assistants:

Dear Sherry,

I just want you to know that I’m reading the Writing Assistants’ questionnaires from the semester, and your talk to them has gotten a number of positive mentions.  I ask them generally whether they found our meetings useful, and several have pointed to your discussion as something they have used since—not even just in conferences on personal statements.  So thank you once again!  I appreciate your coming over to talk to them that busy Friday in March.

Admissions prep for a highly selective masters’ program.

Hello Sherry,

I hope all is well! I was just writing to thank you for sharing your advice and I wanted to inform you of my current academic progress. This past Wednesday, UPenn GSE offered me a spot in their Masters in Education Policy Program and I accepted their invitation. This was my number one choice and I am really thankful for the opportunity to study in Philadelphia in the fall.

Thank you so much for your help, you do not know how much I valued your insight/advice and how it has helped guide my academic decisions up until now. I hope that in the future I will have the opportunity to assist someone else the way you have with me.

Dear Sherry,
Far from ruining my life, I’m incredibly grateful that you suggested this program for me.  I love law school and New York, and I know 100 percent that it was the right call for me.  Columbia is wonderful: the people here are amazing, the professors are great, and I absolutely love living in New York. …
Honestly, I am so incredibly happy here…. Leaving [college] early was the right choice, going to Columbia was the right choice, living in New York was the right choice, and law school was absolutely the right choice.  I never would have gone to New York if it wasn’t for this program, and I’m so glad that I did. It’s unbelievable to think that I could be finishing my senior year right now, when instead I’m finishing my 1L year.  The whole chain of events leading me here feels very serendipitous: taking the LSAT early, you suggesting this program, me ending up at Columbia.  I wouldn’t have been here without you, and you should take comfort in the fact that instead of ruining my life you’ve put it on the correct path.
I could gush some more about Columbia and about law school (because this really was the best decision I’ve ever made), but I should go study….
Dear Sherry,
Thank you very much for your cover letter advice today!  Your targeted
comments significantly improved the quality of my letter.  I shared them with
my parents this evening, and my mother, who is a tough customer when it
comes to written work (her first job was as an editor at Scribner’s…), emailed
me that “Sherry knows her business and made great suggestions.”  So, I
thought that I would pass that along… since I bet that while your
office often hears from worried parents, a quiet majority exists that truly
appreciates your work on behalf of their children.  Thank you again for the
comments that you offered me today, and I will look forward to seeing you
again soon.
